Tulum is a small town south of Cancun with a Bohemian and hippie vibe. The main areas to stay in Tulum are the center and the hotel zone, where the beaches are. In the center, you can find a more authentic, although still touristic, México. At the hotel zone, you will find a more polished environment, with more stylish architecture, boutique shops, fancy restaurants and hotels.

1. Taqueria Honorio / $ / Google Maps

If you’re looking for great tacos, one of the most well known is Taqueria Honorio. The tacos here are great, but you got to get here early since they close at 3pm. Try the Cochinita Pibil and the Relleno Negro. Closed on Tuesdays.
